Oksana Polonets about Fashion

Ukrainian designer Oksana Polonets, who has achieved success not only in the Ukrainian fashion world, but also entered the international market, believes that the dreams should not be postponed. She happily shared her wisdom, experience and life principles with our editors.

Which achievements are you most proud of?

Over the years I have received more than a dozen awards and gratitudes, thousands of satisfied clients and hundreds of shows throughout Ukraine, and also in Toronto, New York, Chicago, Washington, Munich, Berlin, Vienna, Hartberg, Ankara and the United Arab Emirates. POLONETS brand was presented on the Oscars Red Carpet 2016 in Los Angeles, and in 2017 we were awarded the “Gold Quality Mark of National Goods and Services of Ukraine” for the significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture. These achievements are probably the most valuable to me.

What makes POLONETS brand special?

Modern interpretation of traditional embroidery, an individual approach to each model and to the wishes of every client. Each new product, from the first to the last step, is permeated with a breath of love for exquisite outfits, Ukrainian style and native Ukraine.

Who are fans of your brand?

People of different professions, nationalities and ages. Also it’s pleasant that our clients include famous people, show business stars, cultural and social activists, artists. In 2017, the First Lady of Ukraine, Marina Poroshenko, chose the POLONETS brand to create a festive look for the solemn event in honor of the celebration of Ukraine's Independence Day.

Tell us about your formula for success. What is it like?

“Do not put off your dream until tomorrow” is my main rule for success.

What are your guiding principles?

What we have now is the result of yesterday's decisions and today's actions. Life gives us new opportunities every day, the main thing is to be able to use them wisely.

What advice can you give our readers how not to go out of their way?

Motivate yourself. Travel, money, fame, emotions, pleasures - whatever turns you on! Remember that we are the creators of our lives. Dream big, fight your fear and uncertainty, and the most important - believe in yourself!
